Web Services
Overview
The Web Services help you gain insights into user behavior, promote content sharing, and maintain compliance.
Analytics and Integration
Use analytics services to monitor website performance and better understand visitor behavior.
Google Analytics
To use the service, you need to register your website with Google Analytics and obtain your Web Property ID (Google tag).
For detailed information about setting up and managing Google Analytics, visit the Google Marketing Platform website: https://marketingplatform.google.com/about/analytics/.
After obtaining your Web Property ID, add it in picturemaxx Drupal CMS:
- Navigate to Configuration > Web Services > Google Tag.
- Enter the Web Property ID (Google Tag ID), then save the configuration to activate Google Analytics tracking.
Matomo Web Analytics
As an alternative to Google Analytics, you can use Matomo Web Analytics, which provides full data ownership and supports compliance with privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
If you choose to work with Matomo, please contact us. We can provide and configure a Matomo tracking key for your website.
Cookie Banner
Almost no website can do without a Cookie Banner anymore. To comply with privacy regulations, picturemaxx Drupal CMS supports two consent management platforms: Consent Manager and Usercentrics.
Consent Manager
To use Consent Manager, create an account with Consent Manager and get a Consent Manager ID there.
After obtaining your Consent Manager ID, add it in picturemaxx Drupal CMS:
- Navigate to Configuration > Web Services > Consent Management > Consent Manager Settings.
- Turn on the Enable “Consent Manager” integration toggle.
- Enter your Consent Manager ID.
- Click Save Configuration.
Usercentrics
To use this service, create an account with Usercentrics and copy your Settings ID from the Usercentrics Admin Interface.
Then enter the Settings ID in picturemax Drupal CMS:
- Navigate to Configuration > Web Services > Consent Management > Usercentrics CMP Settings.
- Turn on the Enable Usercentrics integration toggle.
- Enter your Usercentrics Settings-ID.
- Specify the consent names for Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
- Click Save Configuration.
Shariff Sharing Buttons
Shariff is a privacy-compliant open-source sharing solution that allows visitors to share website content on social media without being tracked automatically. Unlike standard social media share buttons, Shariff establishes a connection to social networks only when a visitor actively clicks the share button.
Important
Shariff sharing buttons work for News Article only.
To make sharing buttons available across your entire website, add them within Block Layout to display them on all pages.
To configure Shariff, go to Configuration > Web services > Shariff sharing buttons and define the required settings. For details about the available configuration fields, see Field Reference below.
