News Article

Overview

Add News Articles for time-sensitive content, such as press releases or blog posts. Use a View Section to embed your latest articles into a page and display them as a teaser or a full article. By default, the most recent news articles appear first, but the sort order and layout can be customised.

Create a News Article

  1. In Main Administrative Menu,navigate to Content > Add Content > News Article.
  2. Specify Title, Publish Date, Summary, and News Content.
  3. Optionally, add a cover image and additional images or video files under Media. For details, see Field Reference below.
  4. To display your news articles in a custom layout on the News page, use the View Section feature.
    • For detailed instructions on creating and configuring news listings, refer to the View Section article of this guide.
  5. Click Save.
    • To publish the page right away, enable Content is live (published) at the top of the page editor.
    • To schedule publication for a future date, use Scheduling options in the right-hand sidebar.

Field Reference

  • Title
    Enter the title of the news article.
  • Language
    Select the language in which the news article will appear. If your website supports multiple languages, you can also create translated versions of the article for your readers. For more information, see Translate Pages and Menu Links.
  • Publish Date
    Specify when the news article goes live. The date will be also used to sort the articles in your news listing.
    To schedule the news article for a future date, use Scheduling Options in the right-hand sidebar.
  • Summary
    Provide a brief summary of the news article. This summary will appear as a teaser in the news listing, so it should clearly reflect the content.
  • News Content
    Create and format the main content of the article here. Readers can open it by clicking Read more.

Media

  • Preview Image
    Add a featured image for the news article.
  • Embed Media
    Add an image, video, or audio file to the article. The selected media is displayed below the article content.

  • Department

  • Tags
    Optionally, add content-specific tags to help organise and filter content across your site.

  • Author
    Select the author associated with the news article.
